twisted metal was such a great game back in the day.if they don't change the formula for witch made it so good.this will be another big 2011 release
Ordered this a few days ago thinking that it was the Limited Edition version of the game with the download of Twisted Metal Black like the picture says. Yeah definitely was not what was shown in the picture.
This is one of the most hectic online games I've ever played. There are so many players at once racing around that it's hard to know who to go after sometimes. I really love the intense battles and destruction of the environments as you play.
It is a reboot of the original, and a good one at that. All those destruction and explosions look so good with PS3 graphics. I never really care much about the story, although I find it strange that you can choose different vehicles for one character. But overall it's still a good game.
I was upset with the psone Twisted Metal games and was kinda of backing out of buying TMB for only $20 since it was a "Greatest Hits" game. I remember playing this game and blown away by the control and the graphics and the story.
Imperfect, unapologetic fan service - but it feels good, dazzles visually, and has plenty of rose-tinted charm. A worthy last hurrah for the series? Your wish is granted.
Crisp car combat; Truly spectacular boss fights; Comprehensive multiplayer
Lacking in new characters; Some weak levels
Twisted Metal has a very special place in our hearts. It was one of the first 3D games we played and also to this day, remains one of the best. A friend had been one of the lucky few to be granted a PlayStation for Christmas and had saved up to buy the game.
Gameplay is very refined; simple and fun; looks good; multiplayer is slick
Not enough cars; we want more levels; needs easier controls
Spinning tires, or spinning in its grave? Twisted Metal is a hard review to write because there is just so much nostalgia here. This game reminds me of those late nights with friends, a case of Mountain Dew, and my Playstation so much that my bias shows through.
Great game play; Online MP is outstanding
The story lacks; Brings nothing new to the table
I can't speak for the entire world, because this game is not for everyone. The cutscenes can get quite violent, and the explosions do get repetitive to certain groups of gamers, but Twisted Metal is definitely superb.
Addictive Multiplayer; Excellent Replayability; Glorious Gameplay Mechanics
Live-Action Cutscenes; Short Single-Player Campaign; Trivial Story Plot
