It's so-so. I'm a huge fan of sim city and thought I'd give this a try. It was fun for a few hours but that was all. Very little replayability. Graphics are horrible and gameplay is jumpy and unreliable. Also saved games crash often.

I absolutely loved this game. I didnt have any problem with it loading, as mentioned above. I was looking for a game like the old Sims, back when you built them towns and businesses. Not the Sims where you take them to the bathroom and wash their hands.
I am a big fan of Tropico 3 and spent many many hours playing it. Tropico 4 is virtually Tropico 3 with a large overhaul. The game is in HD, so the graphics are better. Most all of the buildings from Tropico 3 are in Tropico 4, but there are a lot of new ones, including the buildings that was on the...
Having previously tried, and failed, to get into SimCity I decided to pick up Tropico 4 at a bargain price and thoroughly enjoyed its tongue in cheek approach to the city building genre.
My first Tropico game but has plenty of in-game guidance to get me up to speed. Can pause the game at any time to strategise and plan my buildings at my leisure.
If you glanced at our preview of Tropico 4 a few weeks ago, you may have noticed that I wasn't particularly into the whole ‘dictator' thing. I enjoyed a good election scrap, I built lovely houses for the people and I consequently earned the love of all.
Still as fun as Tropico 3; Entertaining city building
Almost the same game as Tropico 3; Slightly unsatisfying campaign
Tropico 4 gives you the opportunity to prove yourself a worthy leader over twenty campaign missions with a variety of islands and hundreds of objectives to complete. Being thrust into power is an almost overwhelming feeling at first and this is one of the few games where the tutorial missions are a...
If you know me, you've probably heard me shout ‘Communism is fun, kids!' but usually there has been some kind of fermented vegetable drink involved, and well, I'm usually kidding. However, with Tropico 4, those four words seem to be pretty fitting and sum up the overall feel of the game quite well.
You can't load your saved games. You can not even complete a mission unless you do it in 1 sitting on the xbox version as saved games fail to load and just crash the console. Shame because it is a good game but this makes it unplayable.
Tropico is a game where you play as a ruthless dictator and you have to help your island become a better country by stopping your people from living in mud huts, and converting tiny islands into economic powerhouses with tourist destinations and attractions.
