Love this camera. Lightweight, fast AF, good ISO performance. Awesome travel camera. Best of its price range.
Easy to use. It will take some time to learn how to Handel it. I would recommend a basic class for first timers to dslr mirrorless style. Great starter camera and excellent for advanced photographers.
Just takes glorious photos. With a relatively cheap adapter can access many types of lenses that wont break the bank.
If youre looking for a great dslr camera for your streams on twitch, Facebook etc. this is a great camera for that and will give you excellent quality!
I bought this camera as my first foray into the mirror less DSLRs. I have been a Canon user and needed something light for images/videos on the go from uncontrolled settings with very little time at my disposal. In my two weeks with the cemera, most of it during travel, I am pretty impressed with the quality, range of features and ease of use. I have done some stunning portraits and videos in low light indoor settings. With a small size factor it is not intrusive and puts people at ease. The auto settings and focus are more than needed for most of shooting needs and conditions. I will soon be doing a detailed review, but so far so good.
Sony Alpha 6000 Review - The Sony Alpha a6000 is the manufacturer's latest CSC, boasting class-leading AF performance and an impressive APS-C sensor
Good high ISO performance; Great specification; AF speed
LCD screen could be better specified; EVF a touch behind competition
The a6000 brings Sony's latest interface improvements and enhanced JPEG processing to a well-featured, competitively-priced mid-range camera. Its stand-out features are its comprehensive video controls and continuous autofocus performance unprecedented at this price.
24 megapixel APS-C sensor is one of the best in its class; Small body with generally well placed controls; Very fast continuous shooting; Class-leading continuous autofocus; Excellent level of control over video (including manual exposure; High quality; responsive viewfinder; Electronic...
Flash exposures often misjudged; No In-camera Raw conversion option; Noise reduction can be a bit heavy-handed; No touchscreen; No electronic level gauge; Battery life feels low (though provided charge percentage info helps judge remaining life; Specifying an autofocus point can be cumbersome; Lens...
It's been a few months since Sony took the decision to officially drop the NEX moniker from its E-mount compact system cameras, renaming all of its interchangeable lens cameras with the Alpha brand, regardless of whether it is an A mount or an E mount (those formally known as NEX) camera.
New: The Sony A6000 is one of our favourite mirrorless compact system cameras, but how does it fare against its rivals in our lab tests? Take a look at our new, updated comparison charts for resolution , dynamic range and noise results against the Fuji X-T1, Olympus OM-D E-M1 and Panasonic GX7.
Recent years have seen some very cool Sony cameras: the first full-frame compact camera, the RX1, as well as the first full-frame interchangeable-lens compacts, the a7 and a7R. In the midst of all that full-frame hoopla, the APS-C-format NEX-6 debuted to relatively minor fanfare, although its fans...
