Sony A6000

Sony's new a6000 is an update of the Sony NEX-6 , a very well-regarded CSC that managed to stay the course for a good four years. That it lasted so long is testament to how special it was, given the brief shelf-life of new models nowadays.

Low light performance; Rounded specification; Solid design; Good Connectivity

Lacks a standout feature; LCD could be better

Heavily priced

You know what?? You can purchase 3 kits for the same price.

Great camera in a small package!

The best professional APS-C camera available. Combined with an appropriate lens, It has the same capability and even focus faster than any popular brand that are four times more expensive. It is so convenient to use so that I use it more often on social events than my Sony A7R and Canon 7D mark 3.

This is a fun camera!

This camera takes great pictures. It is fairly lightweight. Like having a viewfinder.

Easy to Use; Fast Shutter Speed; Great Resolution; Large Clear LCD; Small/Compact

operation manual very limited

Why Not

Pros: - Extra Battery - 1200 mAh - Compatible Rapid Battery Charger - Filter Lens Kit (3) - Sd Memory Card 64 GB (70 mb/s - U1 - C10) - Card Reader - actually this was Cons: - Bag - Not really 'Deluxe' - useless DVD - Tripod really small. Other thoughts: Great Mirrorless Camera.

great little camera without the weight an bulk of a DSLR.

Love the Camera. I grew up using SLRs. I am traveling more and I don't want to lug around a bulky and heavy DSLR but I want interchangeable lenses and features of a DSLR. Takes great pictures. More customization features than you can count. The new a6300 does not seem to be worth the premium.

light; fast at auto focus; more features than many DSLRs; built in viewfinder for those sunny days

not a large number of E-mount lenses available; it can use Nikor or Cannon lenses with an adapter

Great versalite little camera

I bought this camera several months ago. Traveled around the world and have the camera with me most of the time. I am using mostly adapted old manual lenses. For the price - it delivers. A lot. WE have the flexibility to use it with almost any old manual lens. I am impressed, happy and will continue to use it as a back up camera (I bought Sony A7RII now) the only flaw is the my camera is not working with another flash unit. I tried several flashes, including Nissin I40 - all this flashes worked on another Sony A6000, so I guess my camera has some fault. I sent the camera for a warranty repair service a few days ago and hope it will be fixed...

My New Favorite

I've used the 50D and 7D Canon for years. Went looking for something smaller and this was the winner. A Sony rep showed me his a6000 and did a quick demo. 11fps was a big draw. I had 14 days to try it out and I put it to the test.

Unlock your imagination

I bought this camera as my first foray into the mirror less DSLRs. I have been a Canon user and needed something light for images/videos on the go from uncontrolled settings with very little time at my disposal. In my two weeks with the cemera, most of it during travel, I am pretty impressed with the quality, range of features and ease of use. I have done some stunning portraits and videos in low light indoor settings. With a small size factor it is not intrusive and puts people at ease. The auto settings and focus are more than needed for most of shooting needs and conditions. I will soon be doing a detailed review, but so far so good.

A Great Digital Camera!

This is a powerful, lightweight and versatile camera. I would recommend buying a book to help with the very complex menus that this camera uses. Very high quality pictures. The only downside is that battery life is poor, and I'd recommend an additional battery and external charger.
