Sony’s re-branding of the APS-C NEX mirrorless models as Alpha has presented an opportunity to realigned the range. Although the new A6000 announced in February this year features a 24- Mpix CMOS like the technically still current NEX-7 it is seen as a replacement to the newer NEX-6 .
First introduced in April 2014 , Sony Alpha a6000 is a 24.0MP Advanced Mirrorless camera with a APS-C (23.5 x 15.6 mm ) sized CMOS sensor, Tilting screen and Sony E lens mount. Sony replaced the older Sony NEX-6 with this model and later A6000 was replaced with Sony A6300.

Just takes glorious photos. With a relatively cheap adapter can access many types of lenses that wont break the bank.
If youre looking for a great dslr camera for your streams on twitch, Facebook etc. this is a great camera for that and will give you excellent quality!
Full features, lightweight & easy to use.
Its an Excellent value for money, the autofocus is super fast. Id recommend a camera stand to work at its Best capabilities. The only con is the low light autofocus which could be fixed with the stand. :)
I bought this camera several months ago. Traveled around the world and have the camera with me most of the time. I am using mostly adapted old manual lenses. For the price - it delivers. A lot. WE have the flexibility to use it with almost any old manual lens. I am impressed, happy and will continue to use it as a back up camera (I bought Sony A7RII now) the only flaw is the my camera is not working with another flash unit. I tried several flashes, including Nissin I40 - all this flashes worked on another Sony A6000, so I guess my camera has some fault. I sent the camera for a warranty repair service a few days ago and hope it will be fixed...
I bought this camera as my first foray into the mirror less DSLRs. I have been a Canon user and needed something light for images/videos on the go from uncontrolled settings with very little time at my disposal. In my two weeks with the cemera, most of it during travel, I am pretty impressed with the quality, range of features and ease of use. I have done some stunning portraits and videos in low light indoor settings. With a small size factor it is not intrusive and puts people at ease. The auto settings and focus are more than needed for most of shooting needs and conditions. I will soon be doing a detailed review, but so far so good.
