Samsung Galaxy Note 8 SM-N950F 64GB

The new 6.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Note8 resembles the S8 Plus phone and the processor and many other specs are the same. Note 8 does contain some new features like the 12 MP dual camera and the more sophisticated pen.

The dual rear cameras contain a wide-angle lens and a tele lens. This combination yields ten times better digital zoom and twice the optical zoom. Both cameras support optical image stabilisation, which results in crisper photos. The performance under low-light conditions is especially noticeable. The dual cameras enable the Live focus feature, whereby it's possible to zoom in on an objected located close while the background remains blurry. This feature makes Note 8's cameras behave like a system digital camera.

One of the main selling points of the phone is its productivity-enhancing capabilities. The pen plays an imperative role and extends the functionality of Note 8 beyond notes taking and drawing. It's possible to take notes in screen-lock mode thanks to the Always on display also found on Galaxy S8. A click on the pin icon positioned in the lower right corner of the screen gives instant access to a maximum of 100 notes. Hence, it's easy to check items on the shopping list while shopping in-store.

The Note 8 phone sports 6 GB of RAM memory, 64 GB of storage and comes with dual sim slots. It's powered by Samsung's own Exynos 8895 processor. The battery has a capacity of 3,300 mAH and the phone is waterproof with an IP68 rating.

Galaxy Note 8 review: Don't call it a comeback, call it the phone of the year

No one would have blamed Samsung if the Note 8 were never released. After a global recall halted sales of the Note 7 in their tracks, some execs at Samsung probably floated the idea of retiring the Note brand altogether.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has finally arrived, and with it confirmation that Samsung has shaken off the Galaxy Note 7 's disastrous launch last year. The new Note 8 comes out swinging with a big, beautiful screen, meaty internal hardware and a sleek, professional design.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 review (day 5)

The minute I powered on the Samsung Galaxy Note8 and started using it, I felt the urge to ditch my iPhone 7 Plus and go running back to Android. But am I still feeling that way after using it as my primary device for the past 5 days?

Very nice camera; Great display and I love the always-on feature; S Pen is handy

Expensive

Great Phone

I've had the Note 8 for over a year and would not change it for anything! It has great features and every once in a while I learn something new on this phone. I recommend this phone or lets say I've recommended this phone to everyone I see or talk about phones.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8

With the Note 8, Samsung is indeed back with a bang (pun intended). The Galaxy Note 8 is the best Note the company has ever made.

S-Pen; Great camera; Beautiful design

Expensive; Just a work day's battery life; Fingerprint scanner placement can be frustrating

After the unfortunate debacle of the Galaxy Note 7 last year, there were rumors that Samsung may ditch the Note series altogether, and that the Galaxy Note 8 may never happen. On the contrary, even after the Galaxy Note 7 battery fiasco, Samsung's image hasn't been dented much, and people seem to...

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 takes everything that was great about last year's Note7 and simply improves upon it in all the right ways but with a bigger Galaxy Note came a bigger price and consumers may have to contemplate even harder before pulling the trigger this time around.

Premium glass and metal build Gorgeous and large display improved S Pen features Excellent camera quality microSD expansion IP68 certified Fluid performance

Most expensive Galaxy Note to date Phone is very tall Fingerprint sensor still awkwardly located

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 review: Bigger, better, less flammable

Samsung Galaxy Note 8: The Galaxy Note 8 rises from the ashes of its predecessor; but can Samsung get back in your pocket?

Incredible bezel-less display; Superb dual cameras; Refined stylus

Painfully expensive; Weaker battery life than S8 Plus
