Saints Row started life as a pretty forgettable Grand Theft Auto alike, but Volition took the concept and forged some solid gold in the second and third incarnations, and now along comes Saints Row IV Re-Elected .

Crazy, insane, nutty, wacky, bizarre, ridiculous and comical are all words that probably came out of your mouth while playing the 2011 extraordinarily absurd Saints Row: The Third .

Evolving from the formula laid down by Saints Row: The Third in 2011, Saints Row IV is more superhero wish fulfillment than the exploration of criminality that the series started out as. Frankly, it often plays more like Crackdown than it does a traditional Saints Row game.

It seems rather alien now, to think that at one time the Saints Row series had somewhat of an identity crisis. An exclusive early 360 title, it was often – with good reason – compared to Grand Theft Auto, with a larger focus on gang warfare and a little more cartoonish than it's most obvious rival.

Speech from my son who i bought it for: "I like it as its not too violent. Its got really good super powers which enable you run really fast, make fire, jump from a towering distance, change people into ice. Its really fun, deluxe, impeccable and much more which I can't remember!!

I played this game for a few weeks, and have to say that it is my favorite Saints Row game. The plot and storyline is just as lame as the other saints row games, but this one has a lot in it to keep you occupied for hours.

awesome game, a lot less serious than grand theft auto and more fun for it.

It is over-the-top, wacky and downright nonsensical. There isn't much that makes a heck of a lot of sense. There are many WTF moments and other instances where I am questioning the path the developers are taking me on. There are even some occasions where I say to myself: "that sh*t was f$cked up".
