One problem with gaming mice is that they're usually big, heavy, and have lots of buttons. If a mouse is full-featured then is usually comes...
I wanted a decent gaming mouse, but was not willing to take a chance on a cordless one. After a few hours of research and reading reviews I decided to buy the Razer Imperator. I must say this is the first gaming mouse I have bought, but I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
The company name Razer is practically synonymous with PC-gaming peripherals. Their wide selection of gaming keyboards, mice, and other accessories make them a top choice when shopping for the best gaming gear.
Looks Great; Very Precise for big and small actions; Superb Comfort with adjustable thumb buttons; High Quality construction; Great support for Macros and Profiles; Expert control over button mappings; DPI settings; Acceleration; etc; Long; Braided cord and Gold Plated USB connection
Expensive price; Super-bright accent lights (this may not be a con for everyone; Thumb button adjustment action feels a bit cheap; Software UI is a bit on the ugly side (very persnickety
While this mouse may seem a little pricey, it is well worth it. With it's dual sensors it is accurate on any surface. It is comfortable to hold for long periods and well shaped to your hand.
To the untrained eye, this new mouse from Razer almost doesn't look like a Razer mouse at all. For one thing, it's not symmetrical - good news for dedicated righties, possibly not so for those cursed with cack-handedness.
saw it collect a recommended award for its innovative design, great feel and brilliant responsiveness. Nothing has changed, though, and The Imperator still has one of the coolest features we've seen on a mouse - adjustable thumb buttons.
I really like the Imperator. Razer made a very high quality mouse. It's simple design, ergonomic feel, and awesome DPI really make this a great product. Even better is it's price tag: $79. A perfect price for those that need a lot out of their mouse, and aren't on a huge budget.
The 5600 DPI setting may make you grab hold of your monitor to keep you from getting dizzy, but that is a small price to pay for a superior "one size fits all" type of mouse.
Fits perfectly in the palm of my hand; Comfortable; Does not just move across my mouse pad; it glides; "On the Fly" DPI adjustment; 5600 DPI capabilities
No included driver or software disc; The mouse wire lead seems a bit stiff
Nice mouse... For windows. My Issue is that Razer advertises this mouse to be compatible with Mac OS X when it isn't. After contacting the company, they admit it isn't fully compatible with Mac but refuse to refund the purchase price of the mouse or replace it with their only Mac compatible Wired...
Comfortable Design
Falsely advertised; Incompatibility with Mac
