Razer Imperator 2012

The Razer Imperator 2012 gaming mouse-set to launch in 2011, despite its name-is a new and improved version of the original Imperator mouse.

Thumb buttons can be moved backwards and forwards; Adjustable lift-off tracking distance; Braided cable; comfortable design; backlighting can be switched off; Driver with plenty of functions: macros; frequency (125 to 1000 Hz); etc; Very light; pleasant to handle; good glide

Our test model couldn't reach the 5 metres per second promised; The stepped scroll wheel isn't as flexible as the adjustable scroll wheel in the Logitech G500; Heavy CPU use at 500 and 1000 Hz; Sensitivity: 6400 dpi is pure marketing

Razer Imperator review Review

The Imperator is a cracking gaming mouse at a decent price. Although it doesn't offer as many features as some rivals and lacks a wireless mode, it's well designed and responsive.

Very comfy; Excellent scroll wheel; On-the-fly dpi switching; Adjustable keys; Well designed

Wireless version would be welcome; No left- or right-leaning clicks on the scroll wheel

Razer Imperator Gaming Mouse Review

Gaming mice are one of those items that everyone enjoys upgrading. We can happily use our old keyboard for years but a new mouse is highly desirable and something that most of us upgrade more often than most hardware.

Razer Imperator

There's something about the curve of the Imperator that makes us think of the Protoss Reaver from StarCraft. Those Protoss must know what they're doing, though, as the Imperator is quite a comfortable mouse - assuming you're a right hander.

Comfortable; Good; accurate; smooth gaming performance

On-the-fly sensitivity OSD didn't work; Macros limited to 16 events

Razer Imperator Gaming Mouse

To the untrained eye, this new mouse from Razer almost doesn't look like a Razer mouse at all. For one thing, it's not symmetrical - good news for dedicated righties, possibly not so for those cursed with cack-handedness.

Amazing freaking fit

Had the button start double clicking at holding when i was only clicking once. Took the mouse apart and cleaned contacts with rubbing alcohol....Problem Solved!!!!

Love how big it is compared to most mice; It fits super comfortable and you dont have to drag your pinky on the ground; Cord is cool and braided; The laser is super accurate and quick; The option of the movable buttons is very nice as well

Braided cord is way too stiff; Which I believe is causing my cord to have poor connection and stop working sometimes; Had the button start double clicking at holding when i was only clicking once; Took the mouse apart and cleaned contacts with rubbing alcohol....Problem Solved!!!

Ergonomics is ok but not that great. Unless your hands are very big

I have been using this for about a month. Ergonomics is ok but not that great. Unless your hands are very big, you will find it a bit difficult to get to the no. 9 button on left side of the mouse.

Great gaming mouse

Let me start by saying this is my first "gaming" mouse. I've always used stock mice that came with my computers until I finally decided to buy this mouse from Razer. The first thing I noticed was the comfort. Using it for a long period of time didn't leave my hand feeling tired like some other mice.

Does NOT Function with Mac OS X

Nice mouse... For windows. My Issue is that Razer advertises this mouse to be compatible with Mac OS X when it isn't. After contacting the company, they admit it isn't fully compatible with Mac but refuse to refund the purchase price of the mouse or replace it with their only Mac compatible Wired...

Comfortable Design

Falsely advertised; Incompatibility with Mac

Mine has quit working, well its sketchy it will work for a while then completely disappear from the computer only to come on randomly ( I think it is the connection or the cord where it enters the mouse.
