This lens is a real gem: - Lens construction is first class with it's full metal body. You have to see it in real to really appreciate it. - 34 mm FOV with f1.8 is the best all-around performer I can imagine for the micro 4/3.
Absolutely beautiful and sturdy construction; 34mm FOV with f1.8
Lenshood not included and it's pricey
This lens is the latest addition to the Olympus range of premium prime lenses for the micro four thirds system cameras. It can be used on either Olympus or Panasonic cameras. The new lens is not to be confused with an older 17mm f2.8 unit. The new optic is faster, sharper and has quicker auto-focus.
I decided to rewrite my review of this Olympus 17mm f/1.8 prime lens, because the optical quality of the first sample I had of this lens was really disappointing. Something was wrong with it. Luckily the sample I have now is much, much better. The build quality is great.
Build quality; autofocus; sharpness; contrast
Slight corner softness at large apertures
With the release of the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 17mm f1.8 lens (34mm in 35mm equivalent), Olympus adds a bright, wide-angle, single-focal-length lens ideal for snapshot street shooting, landscape photography or capturing subjects in challenging low-light environments.
As you can see above, there's no shortage of alternatives in this category - in the world of micro four-thirds, the manufacturers are all looking for that walk-around lens that the photographer will keep on their camera.
Hannah Stryker / Review Geek The iPhone 14 is the latest iteration of Apple’s flagship device. Since its launch, the iPhone has set the standard of what a smartphone is, what it does, and how it looks. Fifteen years later, it’s still doing that.
Top-notch cameras, Amazing display, Snappy performance, Great battery life
It's just "this year's iPhone"
The iPhone 14 isn't much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it's still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.
Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance
Display could use some upgrades
