Nintendo pulled out all the stops when they created the 3DS, but I'm gonna make this short. The games kick ass (We got Resident Evil!! Yay!!), the 3D is mind-blowing, the Pedometer and PlayCoin system promotes exercise and fresh air, the new Mii System is cool (make a Mii with a photo), and the data...

Awesome graphics; a huge step up in 3D technology; games are awesome; loads of excellent preloaded 3DS apps; 3D works a dream; Pedometer gets you PlayCoins to use in-games

3D camera quality is mediocre; Music can't be played with the lid shut; Internet could be better; upper screen is subject to smudges

Nintendo 3DS XL Blue/Black

never owned a DS until now but i have tried them all from my little cousins, and the 3DS XL was the better choice for me (29 year old adult) i really wanted the grey and black XL thats in europe too bad its not available here in the U.S.

90% bigger screen than original 3DS, backwards compatible with older DS games; 3D effect on the XL looks better on the bigger screen

battery life; only 2 colors to pick from

Pretty in Pink

I typically don't go for these types of games and systems but I have to say I love my 3DS! The 3D is really neat. It's not like "Oh my gosh! I feel like I need to reach out and touch it!", but you can see it pop off the screen.

Nintendo 3DS Review

Julie asked the Gadgeteer Kid and me if we would like to do a joint review of the Nintendo 3DS portable gaming system . As many of you may know, the 3DS is Nintendo ‘s latest and greatest handheld gaming device.

- 3D gaming experience is surprisingly good; - Sound build quality; - Ability to turn 3D off; - Large games selection; - Can play DSi & DSLite games; - Can create your own and keep others Miis; - Nintendo eShop; - Parental controls

- Games are expensive; - Picture quality is poor; - Advised not to use 3D more than an hour; - Advised not to let anyone under 7 use device in 3D mode; - Have to get just the right distance & angle for 3D to look correct

A fun handheld for all ages!

Overall, this is easily the best console I have ever used as well as the most fun. Everyday I enjoy using it and I always get excited when I see that I received streetpass data. A great console that I recommend to everyone.

Streetpass and Spotpass bring in plenty of new stuff regularly; Great games available; 3D effect is great for games and makes them nicer to play; Can record 3D video and take 3D pictures; Can playback songs put on the SD card

Short battery life; Camera is a little low quality; No true multitasking

Nintendo 3DS Review

You have to hand it to Nintendo . Their game-changing Game Boy handheld gaming system was nothing short of a revolution in the industry when it launched in 1989. The game titan--one of The Big Three--was savvy enough to follow it up with the smaller Game Boy Pocket, the backlit Game Boy Light (in...

Glasses-free 3D here today; Backward-compatible to DS/DSi games and DSiWare; Bonus: Built-in 3D camera for sweet stills and more

Expect some eye fatigue over long stretches; Limited titles at launch

Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask (Nintendo 3DS) Review

Level-5 has been criticised by some for resting on its laurels, becoming increasingly complacent following the mega-hit of Professor Layton and the Curious Village , milking the intriguing series dry with subsequent Nintendo DS adventures, Professor Layton and Pandora's Box , Professor Layton and...

Nintendo 3 DS

I finally got my hands on this 3D gaming console. This is probably the only gaming console that does not require users to wear glasses when using the 3D mode. I am not a huge fan of the DS series as I already broke a DS Lite before. I find that this DS breaks very easily due to wear and tear.

Nintendo 3DS Review

It's been far too long since I last put pen to paper, or finger to keyboard as it would actually be in my case. To return with a bang, I have secured a Nintendo 3DS to review along with a handful of it's 3D-enabled launch titles.

Hardware Review - 'Nintendo 3DS'

At first glance, the Nintendo 3DS looks and feels a lot like a DSi. It has the same basic clamshell design, and aside from the slight difference in colors, looks nearly identical to my black DSi.
