Nintendo 3DS Review

The 3DS is a slick and worthy successor to the DS, but I can't faithfully recommend it right now on account of its weak battery life, poor selection of launch games, and hefty $250 price tag. Launching without a Super Mario game was a mistake (my eyes turn to the GameCube).

Hardware review: Nintendo 3DS

The 3DS isn't a bad piece of hardware, although the included cradle is so flimsy that it shouldn't even exist. I do think that Nintendo should have shipped the handheld with the software we are all waiting for –– basically everything that wasn't available at launch.

Review: Nintendo 3DS

Apple's line of iOS mobile devices has gone after the gaming market in a big way and the threat to the reign of the Gameboy and DS has indeed become a reality. Nintendo has come out of the gate with their most advanced DS hardware to date, but will the 3DS be good enough to allow Nintendo to remain...

The Nintendo 3DS, with its ability to show glasses-free 3D images, is finally out! So almost awesome, so almost perfect!

Nintendo 3DS Review (3DS)

It's here to gouge out your eyes with mystical splendor It's been just over a year filled with high hopes and dismayed expectations for the most controversial DS to hit the market, yet it's finally hit UK shores for us prehistoric 2D morons to behold.

Beautiful design; Nifty features including note taking for game and activity logs; Augemnted Reality games are exceptionally cool

Poor battery life; 3D graphics take a while to get used to

3DS tickles TechEye's memory circuits

TechEye got a Nintendo 3DS sample unit to play with last week, over half a year after first manhandling it at the Gamescom show in Cologne. It has to be said, playing with Nintendogs and brawling through Streetfighter managed to make us feel 13 again.

Excellent handling and good build quality; Excellent autostereoscopic screen; A bunch of great games set to be released

Don't expect a graphical revolution; Mobile handsets with higher specs will appear soon

Nintendo is responsible for iconic household names like Super Mario , SNES and Gameboy all of which have made a massive contribution to how we...

Nintendo 3DS review

Yes, the Nintendo 3DS's glasses-free 3D is impressive. No, it won't make you cross-eyed or blind. Yes, the 3D effect you've heard so much about creates clever and often fascinating gameplay.

A wonderful piece of hardware that delivers so much already.

Looks and feels magnificent; Lots of inbuilt and prepackaged software; Terrific augmented reality features; Internet gaming finally gets better; 3D that really works; Fully backward compatible; Future software looks promising

Battery life could be better
