Nintendo pulled out all the stops when they created the 3DS, but I'm gonna make this short. The games kick ass (We got Resident Evil!! Yay!!), the 3D is mind-blowing, the Pedometer and PlayCoin system promotes exercise and fresh air, the new Mii System is cool (make a Mii with a photo), and the data...

Awesome graphics; a huge step up in 3D technology; games are awesome; loads of excellent preloaded 3DS apps; 3D works a dream; Pedometer gets you PlayCoins to use in-games

3D camera quality is mediocre; Music can't be played with the lid shut; Internet could be better; upper screen is subject to smudges

Neat little handheld with expanded features.

Coming into the 3ds market midway of its lifespan, the handheld is exactly the same size to my ds Lite. The one thing I noticed that rose in quality was sound! Game wise, only this year is when games actually start coming out on the 3ds, and in great timing too!

"The Nintendo 3ds- A Great Handheld For Kids and Adults"

I got my first 3ds simply so I could play Ocarina of Time 3d. Since then, I have played the 3ds for many, many hours and have upgraded to the "New 3ds". While its hardware isn't great, I think the original 3ds is a great handheld for both kids and adults.

Great library of games; nice form factor; easy portability

The hardware isn't great; and the older models have poor 3d and battery life

Nintendo 3DS Review

The Nintendo 3DS is a powerful and unique gaming device that will enthrall gamers, despite its poor battery life and weak camera.

3D works well; Much more powerful than the DS; Incredible amount of potential

Very short battery life; Low-resolution camera; Missing a lot of software

Nintendo 3DS Review

Julie asked the Gadgeteer Kid and me if we would like to do a joint review of the Nintendo 3DS portable gaming system . As many of you may know, the 3DS is Nintendo ‘s latest and greatest handheld gaming device.

- 3D gaming experience is surprisingly good; - Sound build quality; - Ability to turn 3D off; - Large games selection; - Can play DSi & DSLite games; - Can create your own and keep others Miis; - Nintendo eShop; - Parental controls

- Games are expensive; - Picture quality is poor; - Advised not to use 3D more than an hour; - Advised not to let anyone under 7 use device in 3D mode; - Have to get just the right distance & angle for 3D to look correct

Nintendo 3DS Review

You have to hand it to Nintendo . Their game-changing Game Boy handheld gaming system was nothing short of a revolution in the industry when it launched in 1989. The game titan--one of The Big Three--was savvy enough to follow it up with the smaller Game Boy Pocket, the backlit Game Boy Light (in...

Glasses-free 3D here today; Backward-compatible to DS/DSi games and DSiWare; Bonus: Built-in 3D camera for sweet stills and more

Expect some eye fatigue over long stretches; Limited titles at launch

Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask (Nintendo 3DS) Review

Level-5 has been criticised by some for resting on its laurels, becoming increasingly complacent following the mega-hit of Professor Layton and the Curious Village , milking the intriguing series dry with subsequent Nintendo DS adventures, Professor Layton and Pandora's Box , Professor Layton and...

Hardware Review - 'Nintendo 3DS'

At first glance, the Nintendo 3DS looks and feels a lot like a DSi. It has the same basic clamshell design, and aside from the slight difference in colors, looks nearly identical to my black DSi.

Nintendo 3DS

It's been just over a year since 3DS was first unveiled on March 23rd 2010 and Irish gamers are finally able to get their hands on the first bona fide new console since the PS3 hit our shores in 2007 (before any of you get pedantic, we're not counting any of the new iterations of the current batch,...
