This is a specific lens who hasnt disappointed!its perfect: expensive but worth it. Plus excellent delivery conditions
I have had and worked with the orginal lens for a few years and thought it was great. but,Well done Nikon, still the best in class :o)
Was a little reluctant to shell out the best part of 2 grand on this lens, but boy was it worth it! The Pros say that good lenses improve your photos. Couldn't agree more. Love it. Sharp, big constant aperture and is just a top quality item. Only downside?

I upgraded to this lens (from a Sigma 50-150 2.8 DX which I also liked) and there really is no comparison. It's well documented that the Nikon 70-200 2.8 VR II is an outstanding lens.
This is my new go to lens for sporting events. It isn't one that you can hand hold for very long though so plan on bringing a tripod or unipod along with you.
