Nikon D5100 DSLR (11734)

I got the 5100 when it first came out. I love it. Here's the bottom line with DSLR cameras....there are two versions...FX and DX. FX are full frame and DX are a smaller frame size. FX are pro cameras and usually much more expensive. This one, like the 3100, 7000, 7100 and others are DX.

Nikon D5100 Review

Overall, I had a very positive experience with the Nikon D5100. The camera is capable of delivering excellent results both for digital stills and video. As can be seen from image comparisons against other older Nikon DSLRs, the sensor on the Nikon D5100 and D7000 DSLRs is truly remarkable.

Nikon D5100 best semi professional

This is one of the best semi professional camera. For a begin if some one intrested to go with D3100 its better to go with D5100 as this will never disapoint you after having a hands on experience with SLR camera. Generally this comes with 18-55 lens which is enough for a start.

Nikon D5100 Review

The Nikon D5100 is a digital SLR that offers plenty to satisfy the needs of buyers looking to get a big sensor interchangeable lens camera for a relatively affordable price (under a thousand bucks/Euros).

Kit lenses produce photos on the soft side (Solution: get better lenses if you want better sharpness; Limited movie mode functions: No manual exposure control; no wind filter; slow AF; Poor autofocus performance in live view mode; Camera is a tad too reliant on menus (needs more function-assigned...

In addition to delivering superb image quality, both aim to strike a balance between ease of use for the beginner and sophisticated controls for the more advanced photographer.

Nikon D5100 Review

All in all, I absolutely love the Nikon D5100. It's an easy-to-carry and easy-to-use entry-level DSLR. The image quality is impressive and Nikon's growing line of AF-S lenses for use with the D5100 moves it to the top of my recommendation list for new DSLR owners.
