Need for Speed Run is one of the latest racing games from EA at the moment. I'm not a big fan of Need for Speed games but when I seen the trailer for Need for Speed Run I thought I had to get it. Luckily it was one of the gifts I received at Christmas.

just picked up this game and i dont see why it has so many bad reviews, its really not that bad. i can see why some people wouldn't like it because of the no free roam and no car mods but to be honest when you play through the story car mods i feel would just be unnecessary for the type of game.

good game

As a long-time fan of the Need For Speed series, I was excited to see a return to a story-driven game with Need for Speed: The Run. I have no love for the Shift games and as good as Hot Pursuit was last year Need For Speed to me is all about combining arcade racing with an interesting story.

The Need for Speed franchise has taken a hit to the jaw with The Run. It is not the most perfect game in a technical sense, and although the plot does give it a bit of a twist, it's certainly not enough to hold the attention of regular fans of the franchise.

my kids love it

I remember a movie a long time ago called The Cannonball Run starring Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise. The plot featured a large number of drivers competing in a cross-country race, evading traffic, cops, and each other.

In some ways we have to blame Hot Pursuit for raising our expectations for the franchise, but that doesn't mean that returning long-time Need for Speed developer Black Box shouldn't shoulder some of the responsibility for our disappointment this time around.
