Comfortable and Clear

Bought used to replace my broken g430 headset that I used for ~1 year and enjoyed quite a bit. I've had 3 g430 and broken each so I decided to change in hopes of better longevity. To my delight the g35's cable is think and braided and will probably not fail in the same way as my g430's.

-great audio quality; clear highs, strong lows, -good build quality (better than g430, -good microphone quality, -comes with voice modulation

-Occasional 7.1 failure; fixed by toggling switch, -build quality could be better

NOT FOR MACS

My wonderful girlfriend got me a pair of these. I just wanted to point out the 7.1 surround sound does not work, is nowhere to be found in macs. Most of you did your 3rd party research, I just wanted to warn the next person. Sounds great actually, in the 5 minutes I played with it.

Great Headset

This is a great head set. Works fantastic in all gaming, music and VOIP uses. During gaming, sounds where made more acurrate as far as directionality and it also picked up sounds not availiable with many cheraper brand headsets gave me before.

Gaming; voip; listening to music

Cord twisting to hell and mic stopped working

Sounds great but after about 7 months the cord has been tangling its self on its own and totally ruining the input into the headset fraying the cords sheath from the sheer force if the cord twisting on its self.

Good, but doesn't age well.

After about 3 years of daily use, the plasticity fake leather over the ear pieces starts to come off. It seems like the glue breaks down with heat. So be aware of that. Other than that, no problems at all. - Windows 7 Home edition. - Got it in 2011~ For the best model I expected five years at least.

Nice headphones

I use these mostly for gaming, as well as music and movies on occasion. They look and feel great. The sound quality is good (probably average for the amount I spent - [$]). I would not say the sound is amazing value for the price though. The bass is pretty good.

Comfortable; Good Bass; Stylish

Great, but not the best

Great headset overall, but it may not be for everyone.

Build quality is excellent; the mic has the best quality Ive ever heard on a headset; surround sound is awesome; anti tangle cord

The customizable keys go somewhat unused for me personally; Not a lot of surround sound games on the PC; These are both really knocks against the PC industry as a whole, rather than the headset though.

Over all a good headset. I enjoy playing with the voice changer program that came with it. Other than the issue of the comfort after extended use. I love this headset.

Almost a Contender

I`d love to give this headset a top rating. But the lacking build quality negates that. As well, I won`t be buying any headset extended warranty from now since apparently build quality is not covered in Memory Expresses extended warranties. I hope ME posts this review AS IS.

Great sound for movies and Games; 7.1 is awesome; And very comfortable for extended wear times

Build quality where the ear speaker pads are held onto the head strap is sorely lacking; The plastic they use in this area is very brittle; Both my sons and my G35 developed hairline cracks there; Both sides; Mine finally gave way tonight, leaving me with a dangling right ear speaker cup.

G35

I was pleased with sound quality and voice, however the wire is quite dissappointing. It keeps tangling itself. So much that the protective ''coat'' broke out and now it's affecting sound quality and giving me static and fuzz. I often need to unplug and replug to get it working again.
