I have had my Zi6 for 5 years now. It works great and no problems. I do not have any battery issues since I started putting in the lithium AA batteries in back in 2009. The lithium AA last a very very long time.

While the Creative Vado, Flip Ultra and soon to be released Mino all have peerless YouTube credentials, they're all missing one thing: hi-def recording. That hasn't escaped the attention of Kodak photowizards – they've waved their wands and produced a competitor with, you guessed it, the ability to...
Once you get used to the user interface which is designed to be simple (maybe to simple) it is not a bad device. Like a mobile phone camera you have to hold in front of your face to see the screen to watch what you are filming. This make the device less very obvoius when in use.
The zi6 represents my second foray into the tiny camcorder field. I was happy to find that it was very easy to transfer the videos to my PC, something the first camera lacked. This is the third Kodak product that I have owned, and I have been very happy with all of them.
Light weight; small; very easy to use; big screen; HD; and rechargeable batteries come with it
Only .mov format; No stabilizer, but what do you want It is very cheap after all
Best out of this line of Kodak pocket camcorders I tested ... as far as quality and does great with rechargeable batteries ...
I purchased the Kodak Zi6 Pocket Video Camera because of the Kodak name. I figured Kodak would be ahead of Flip and the other pocket video producers. What a disappointment. The Kodak Zi6 has a fantastic 720p capability, but no image stabilization.
Welcome to my product review of the new Kodak Zi6 pocket video camera. This pint sized camcorder is capable of recording video in HD, which translates to a resolution of 720p at a maximum of 60 frames per second.
If you haven't seen this video camera in person, it's about the size of a cell phone (almost exactly the same size as the Apple iPhone, but a little thicker: 2.5 inches x 4.5 inches x 0.9 inches), with a 2.4-inch LCD screen and controls on one side, and the lens and speaker/microphone on the other.
Full, in-depth review with video samples after the break.
+ Good value
