You can't help but be reminded of Gears of War when firing up Inversion for the first time. The look of the weapons and the Lutadore enemies, as well as the cover and constant push forward nature of the game just draw a few comparisons.

Works as expected.

Boss fights that are the same ones over and over, savage health drainage, controls that don't respond in time, AI that always gets you killed saving him, etc........lame.

Inversion developer Saber Interactive did a great job with a shooter called Timeshift. The formula was simple: take a regular ol' shooter, add a cool gimmick, and let it roll down its designated corridors. Timeshift's time powers tweaked the usual gunplay and gave it a sense of identity.

Inversion is a new 3rd person Shooter by Namco-Bandai that involves the classic shooter gameplay with a gravity manipulation of the scenarios ans structures, that although said to be innovative, we have already seen it, in games like Fracture and Deep Black.
