For me, as someone who primarily uses my Xbox 360, Gears of War has been a little bit of a weird experience for me. It's one of those games that I've never really looked forward to but every time they've come I've decided to pick them up, play them, and enjoy them.

Gears of War: Judgment is a strange game. After three generation-defining blockbusters, it's odd that a fourth outing is squeezed into the end of the 360's life with a far shorter development cycle than any of the numbered sequels and no Marcus Fenix in the main role.

I'll start this review by saying four very sad words, ‘Rest in Peace Horde'. The first thing I noticed when I put Gears of War Judgment in was that lack of horde mode. This meant two things for me – firstly, the game was going to have to be that much better to impress me, and secondly, I was delayed...
