A significant upgrade from the XT1

"Having shot many weddings with the XT1, I was excited about getting the XT2. I was lucky to walk into Henry's on the day of the XT2's release (when the store first opened) and purchase the only one they had in stock that wasn't slotted for a pre-order.

Fujifilm X-T2

The Fujifilm X-T1 made many SLR owners take note of mirrorless systems as serious options for demanding photographic subjects, including fast-moving action. Its successor, the X-T2 ($1,599, body only), is an even better camera.

24MP APS-C X-Trans III image sensor; 8fps shooting rate with focus tracking; Optional grip improves speed to 11fps; Large, crisp EVF; Dual-hinged tilting rear display; Superb handling; Two UHS-II SD slots; Numerous film emulation options; Dust and moisture resistant; 4K video capture; Wi-Fi

Omits touch screen and in-body stabilization; Raw buffer could be larger; No in-camera flash; 4K footage suffers from rolling shutter effect

Fantastic camera

This is a wonderful camera. I used its predecessor the XT-1 for two years before I broke my own rule never to fix something if it isn't broken. The XT-1 was a replacement for Nikons and I was looking for something much lighter to lug around.

Fujifilm X-T2 review: The definition of a great camera

The Fujifilm X-T1 was a high watermark for mirrorless camera design and has remained among my favourite cameras since its launch in 2014. Its video capture wasn't up to much and rival cameras were faster, but sublime ergonomics meant taking photos was an absolute pleasure and inspecting the...

Best-in-class ergonomics; Outstanding image quality; Capable 4K video mode

Burst and video autofocus could be better; A little slow in normal use

Fujifilm X-T2 review: A new benchmark for the mirrorless market

It took us about three minutes to fall in love with the Fujifilm X-T1 . So when we were first shown the Fujifilm X-T2 back in July it only took us about three seconds. In many ways the X-T2 is the most advanced compact system camera offering we've seen, its goal firmly set on being the best...

Comprehensive continuous autofocus system not seen by other CSCs to date; great electric viewfinder; optional grip enhances performance considerably; tweaked design with larger dials but retaining retro appeal

Still no touchscreen; 3-directional LCD screen switch is fussy; toggles around dials are too small; need grip for many higher-end features; no price just yet; could do with some more detailed single autofocus options

Fujifilm X-T2

The X-T2 is Fujifilm's second top-end compact system camera, designed to sit alongside the X-Pro2. It features a 24.3-megapixel X-Trans CMOS sensor, which is APS-C size. Like other X-Trans CMOS sensors, it doesn't have an anti-aliasing filter in front of it, making it well equipped to deal with...
