I think Square misses with this one. It looks beautiful, and the battle system is interesting but the story isnt all that interesting and neither are the characters.

I love the game, its a must buy the game may start off a bit linear but the story is so immersive.

Solid game, Solid Paradigms and Uematsu had nearly nothing to do with score you want Uematsu go play Theatrythm for 3ds this game is unforgiving but very rewarding you are rewarded a cutscene for your work or none and YEUL die *see what i did there ;D

I remember when Final Fantasy VII came out there were television commercials and a soda promotion. There hadn't been anything like that in scope before.  I ended up playing Final Fantasy VII, but it was on the PC.  I also played Final Fantasy VIII on the PC because I didn't have a Playstation.

Final Fantasy XIII is a loooooooooong game that is best experienced in large chunks of play. Before you purchase it-and you will not be able to complete it during a rental period-be sure to speak with your loved ones and pre-explain your social disengagement for a couple of weeks.

So here we are once again, enjoying the next instalment in the Final Fantasy series. With the thirteenth iteration, the series is just entering its troubling teens, but really the series is far from experiencing an identity crisis.

Ok so I received this game the day before it was meant to be released to the public (see my fishpond review). I LOVE IT! I'm an FFVII fan from way back (who isn't?). So to see the same turn-based combat return to the FF line-up, and to see them take it to the next level in graphics and game-play,...

A cocky self-proclaimed hero with a charming sneer and a heart of gold. A sultry, no-nonsense ally you can rely on for a sly quip and a warm hug. These characters sound like standard role-playing stereotypes, but to Final Fantasy XIII's credit, they transcend formula and wriggle into your heart.

A diverse and mostly excellent cast of characters; A great original world; fleshed out by a compelling story; Fun combat system keeps you on your toes; Magnificent production values

Exceedingly linear exploration and character progression; Vanille will get on your nerves in a big way

Final Fantasy XIII is set on the world of Cocoon, a world that is controlled by magical beings called Fal'Cie. These beings control everything from the climate to food. The citizens of Cocoon are content with this arrangement and see the Fal'Cie as their guardians.

== FINAL FANTASY XIII == We all know what the Final Fantasy series has been like and for some reason we all have our favourites out of the series. A lot of people have liked Final Fantasy VII the most. My personal favourite has to be Final Fantasy X.
