This millennium hasn't exactly started well for the Final Fantasy franchise. It kicked off with Final Fantasy IX which, in truth, struggled to match the quality seen in VII and VIII.

Final Fantasy XIII is not a good game. I don't just mean it's not good in comparison to other games in the FF canon. Nor am I saying it simply fell short of the expectations built up over its four years of development. It's not a good game, full stop. The characters are not likeable.

Final Fantasy XIII is a beautiful, unique and immersive video game which demands total surrender from both long-time fans and brand new players.

Nothing against online based games, but I for one am glad to see the final fantasy series return to where it belongs, console gaming. MMORPG may be where the money's at but fans of the series shouldn't have to dish out the gil for monthly fees or be caught up in levelling for bragging rights.

I received the game within 2 days within Standard Delivery - So that was very good. On arrival the outer box was damaged with creases - however the game inside and all the accessories were in good condition.

I know this game has recieved a lot of negative reviews for its liniarity but I don't agree completely, FFX had the exact same issues but it was just less noticable.

A good, solid story with decent characters plus a new fighting system make this a very enjoyable addiution to the Final Fantasy Series
