FIFA 17 doesn't need much of an introduction as everybody knows all about the FIFA franchise. It is a game endorsed by one of the biggest organisations in the world, after all.

The Alex Hunter mode was quite interesting and it was awesome to watch a player you could relate to develop and make it in the big leagues. I hope that returns in later games. As for the gameplay, pretty much business as usual, I found some of my inputs would be dropped for some reason, a problem...
"Who are ya? Who are ya?" chanted the opposition fans. It was my debut game as Alex Hunter for the defending Premier League Champions, Leicester City. The stadium was rocking, and the atmosphere was electrifying as I went up against Paris SG in a pre-season tournament.
The Journey Mode; Packed with content; Career Mode fixes; Clean presentation
Shooting mechanics need work
FIFA 17 uses the Frostbite Engine which is best known for use in the Battlefield games. I didn't notice a huge difference in general gameplay, with FIFA looking just about as good as it possibly can be, but obviously the engine significantly benefits FIFA's new story mode ‘The Journey'.
There's a lot to be said for the popularity of the FIFA franchise over the past 10 years. Its rise has been pretty similar to that of the real game, to the EPL especially and to the ever growing marketing trend that aligns with the sport.
The Journey is great l Lots of Content l Ultimate Teams with new challenges l Production Value
Annoying commentary l Same AI issues remain l A bit too much emphasis on pace

Annual football series will always have a certain accusation levied at them, that each new edition is 'the same game' and shouldn't be an automatic purchase each year. FIFA gameplay trailers certainly throw out their fair share of buzzwords, which seem to indicate something new when the reality is...
For me, football (or soccer, depending on what part of the world you occupy) is an integral part of who I am. While it might sound like an exaggeration, it's influenced the friends I've made, the clothes I wear and, in the example of EA Sports's FIFA series, the games I play.

Great game. I like the Journey feature and the career mode. The controls are easy to learn. Have a kid (6) and he really enjoys playing it too.
