A worthy chunk of DLC that fills Skyrim's already packed world map with new gear, enemies, and quests.
Over 20 hours of gameplay; Expanded vampire powers; New weapons to craft
Reused dungeon assets; Vampire Lord controls need work; Dawnguard quest not as fun
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim from Bethesda is EPIC and a MASTERPIECE. The developer has succeeded once again in making an Elder Scrolls game one of the top contended for "Game of the Year". Skyrim graphics and gameplay are much improved as compare to Oblivion.
Huge and Massive Map to Explore for player; Unlimited hours of gameplay; Lots of Animals and Monsters to fight; Awesome Soundtrack and Music
Texture could be Improved; Some Minor Graphical Glitches
Even with these issues there is only one way to describe Skyrim and that is epic. There is so much to see, do and experience that it's exceedingly easy to get lost in the fantasy. It's not a remarkable or radical departure from Oblivion, so if that game left you cold, Skyrim will too.
Masses and masses of things to do; An easy and rewarding levelling system; You'll lose 100s of hours of your life
Glitches; pop-in and the odd bug; Inconsistent voice acting; Your girlfriend will leave you
To say that there have been high levels of anticipation for the latest entry in The Elder Scrolls series would be an understatement. When a teaser trailer that shows only a stone wall, accompanied by the sound of a male choir, manages to inspire videos such as this one (NSFW, btw), you know...
So; Much; Content, A beautifully crafted land to explore, Freedom to create whatever character you wish
Friendly AI pathfinding can prove annoying; Newcomers could find the experience overwhelming; Social lives will be stolen.
Suffice to say Skyrim looks the business, with vast panoramas and entire weather systems in place, the swirling snow actually making you think that you're cold, to the extent that you instinctively head for warmer climes.
Epic; involving; addictive
Long loading times; cliched; addictive
As Christopher Ecclestone once said to Billie Piper, lots of planets have a North. North means tough, straight-talking men and inhospitable terrain. North means tradition, old gods, and a dislike of fancy speaking. North means conflict with the South.
Fantastic skill and perk levelling system; No more random conversations; Impossible amounts to do; Atmospheric; beautiful world; Improved combat
A fiddly UI and shortcut system
The Elder Scrolls role playing series is known for the liberating amount of options it offers players, giving them the freedom to chart the course of their own unique adventures. In the opening section of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim , having just escaped the dangers of a monster-infested dungeon,...
Vast customisation options; A beautiful world to explore; Absolutely tonnes to do
A couple of odd low resolution textures; Options can initially be a little overwhelming; Punishing boss fights
Skyrim has been around for a while now and it's also been a while since I finished testing the epic open-world fantasy. But that's mainly because as the last few words spelt out this game is truly epic!
Oblivion , for all its faults, was at the time a masterpiece in how to make a game. Skyrim aims to go one better, and fans of the Elder Scrolls series have no need to worry as this is not only a contender for game of the year but possibly the best game to ever grace this generation of consoles.
