Dragon's Dogma

Dragon's Dogma came out of nowhere and really impresses. Great gameplay and music help you overlook its issues, making it one to check out if you enjoy the genre.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen review

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is a brutally difficult expansion for hardcore fans who beat the original long ago. As a budget re-release, it's also appropriate for those who had the best intentions but never got a chance to delve into one of the finest RPGs of 2012.

+ Super challenging for hardcore fans; + Great value for new players; + New boss fights

- Strange that it's not just DLC; - Some poor AI; - Dark environments become bland

Dragon's Dogma Review

Recondite and uncompromising, Dragon's Dogma is an open love letter to Dark Souls, Monster Hunter, The Elder Scrolls and Shadow of the Colossus. It is a game that is both inviting and constraining, one that requires a deep investment in order to accept its tough-love method of encouraging player...

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen review

A sequel to Dragon's Dogma is on the way, with Capcom calling the surprise-hit IP a “major new franchise”. However, with said sequel’s release likely a year or more away, in the meantime the Japanese developer has crafted an expansion and bundled it with the original game.

Almost everything that made Dragon's Dogma great is present on Bitterblack, albeit in sometimes smaller quantities: it's difficult, combat is kinetic and satisfying, and the pawn system is innovative; Bundled with the original game, it's incredible value

Bitterblack Isle simply isn't particularly varied or exciting; Most new enemies are simply reskins; The level design is often at odds with creature behaviour; Pawn commands rarely yield the desired results

"Something old school about it"

I bought Dragon's Dogma on a special to fill a gap between games … I was blown away. The game is very well done, has lots of cool concepts, and something about it feels really good. I don't know what it is, but it feels kind of old school in a way.

Awesome game.

Being a huge fan of fantasy rpgs, I purchased this game and I have no cause to regret it. Though the game isnt as great as dragon age origins, its still way above the curve and came at a bargain price.

Dragon's Dogma

The current generation of console gaming has seen a lot of criticism being directed Capcom's way thanks to an acute case of sequelitis; not to mention its newfound dependence on third-tier western studios to create said sequels.

If you loved Oblivion you will like this for sure :-)

As reviews are not always helpful to me as they do not say about the basic play, which people like me want to know.

OXCGN's Dragon's Dogma?Review

Dragon's Dogma confuses me for many reasons. Some are small questions, such as whether to classify Capcom's latest as a JRPG for the fact that it was developed in Japan, or a western RPG for the setting and gameplay that owes its styling to the likes of Tolkein and The Elder Scrolls .

Hell yeah!!! Hack and Slash at it's peak!

This game has done justice to the genre of two -Action Role-playing & -Hack and Slash It's an ancient myth. You have a huge map to explore filled with collectibles and of-course you need to be patient enough to walk all around due to no existence of a horse(but you still have a magic stone).
