Excellent picture quality

Only con is that u need an external flash. Takes amazing pictures. It is so fast that there are multiple images that are taken with each shot to increase likelihood that you are getting a good one.

Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; Good Image Stabilization; Large Clear LCD

Canon EOS 5D Mark III review

The 22.3-megapixel Canon EOS 5D Mark III captured some of the cleanest images I've seen from a DSLR when shooting in low light at high ISOs. That's no small feat. Cameras such as the 5D Mark III's predecessor -- the 5D Mark II -- and the 16.2MP Nikon D4 , are designed as low-light assassins, with...

In-camera HDR; "Silent" shooting mode; Rank photos in-camera with one to five stars; 61-point (41-cross-type-point) autofocus

Only slightly more resolution than four-year-old previous model; Starting price much higher than predecessor; Built-in mic only offers mono sound

EOS 5D Mark III is the latest in the Canon`s 5D family. 5D was a huge success and after that 5D Mark II was also accepted happily by the camera lovers. Hence, there were huge expectations from the successor to these great performers.

Weatherproof Sturdy built; Better ISO range; Improved AF module; In-built Noise Reduction; Outstanding Image & Video quality; DIGIC 5+ processor- Enhanced performance

Pop-up flash missing; Slightly over priced; Does not support EF-S lenses

Canon EOS 5D Mark III

Although the Canon EOS 5D Mark III may not have the show-stopping features of some of its rivals, it quietly delivers a stellar performance as an entry-pro DSLR camera. Experts unanimously agree that the EOS 5D Mark III is the camera of choice for sports/action and low-light shooters, while its...

Strong 22.3-megapixel resolution; Extraordinary low-light capability; Outstanding autofocus; Very intuitive to use

Less sharpness and detail than Nikon D800; Autofocus must be triggered manually in movie mode

The advancement in AF system is undoubtedly the best thing about the Mark III, the noise performance is really good too, along with great features like auto sharpening of images. Overall the Canon EOS 5D Mark III's JPEG output across the ISO range offers good colours, tonality and dynamic range with...

Excellent Camera and Highly Recommend It!

I have had the 5D Mark III for nearly 2 months and could not be any happier. It takes outstanding photos RAW or JPEG. The low-light performance is fantastic, so is the new Auto Focus. It is fast and accurate. I have taken great indoor photos up to 12,800 ISO without any need for noise reduction.

Canon EOS 5D Mark III

It's more about evolution and innovation (as opposed to revolution) in the digital SLR realm right now. Like the American Idol effect on singers to the untrained ear, the clarity and performance that photographers expect from the soon-to-be-legendary Canon EOS 5D Mark III has to live up to the hype.

In-camera HDR (High Dynamic Range) feature combines three shots into one image with better exposure; "Silent" shooting mode helps capture stealthy candid portraits; Rank photos in-camera with one to five stars, then carry those ratings over to Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Bridge and Apple Aperture.

Only slightly more resolution than four-year-old previous model; Starting price nearly ,000 higher than predecessor; Built-in mic only offers mono sound
