I was cautious with Black Ops and thought it was going to be a huge disappointment. How wrong was I? Ok it isn't as good as MW2, but it's still a great game with a gripping campaign, addictive multiplayer and a fun arcade game.

Black Ops is made up of all the yummy ingredients that one would expect a first person shooter cake to contain and so it's very appealing to those that enjoy eating them. Of course, not everyone likes first person shooter cake, and those that do will sometimes wish for a change.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is your typical big-budget sequel, and that's generally a good thing. Boasting superb graphics, frenzied firefights, and myriad online modes, Treyarch's latest installment in the long-running franchise is a sturdy piece of mainstream gaming mayhem, and one that-gasp!

Every piece is in place here; the story, the characters, the atmosphere, the music, sounds and voices and, of course, the gameplay

Again; we feel that the CoD recipe needs some new elements; we have grown tired of the same old mechanics; and yes; the campaign may still be too short for some gamers
