Silence is golden (and expensive, too).
Bose is well known for its QuietComfort 15 headphones and now it's made an in-ear version. Here's our Bose QC20 headphones review.
Until recently, noise-cancelling headphones were quite bulky and relied on covering your entire ear in order to insulate you from ambient noise. Earbuds struggled to properly block sound out – until now.
comfort; sound quality
a little cumbersome

Excellent sound; Earpieces that truly stay in place; Noise cancellation can be easily switched on and off without affecting sound quality; Flat noise cancellation box means it's very portable and easy to stow away; Rechargeable
Short cable from the noise cancelling box is very; very short; Expensive
I had a problem that the volume controls near the ear pieces didn't seem to work. They appear to only work with an Apple device. This was annoying as on one aircraft the minimum volume was quite loud. Also the on line manual has some pages that are hard to read. Overall very good.
Bose is known for their noise canceling headphones but the QC20 is their first attempt to incorporate noise reduction in a pair of earbuds. And
Super effective noise reduction
Pricey
Un-Match Quality
If you have followed my on Google+ or even Twitter, you probably know my love for Bose' headphones. I've been using the Bose ime2i headphones for about 3-4 years now and have loved them. Usually headphones would last me maybe a year, but these could probably last another 3-4 years.
I had this headset before and love it, but lost during the travel. The quality is good, but this set is missing the "in flight adapter" which is the most needed when you get into the flight. One star.
Bose has been working on technology that cancels noise - and in effect, recreates silence - for 35 years. The technology was integrated into its over-ear QuietComfort 25 headphones. Now it has been miniaturised and implanted into more convenient in-ear headphones, the QuietComfort 20.
Excellent overall sound; Active noise cancelling; Long battery life; Comfortable design
Battery brick is intrusive; Expensive
