Darkness Engulfs Us All Gotham City has seen better days. After the lunatics (led by the Prince of Lunatics, the Joker) took over the asylum in Rocksteady's rendition of the Caped Crusader, Batman: Arkham Asylum , it was clear that all was not over.

Truly one of the best games ever, improving on Arkham Asylum in every way; The ultimate superhero title and the closest mere mortals will ever get to being the Dark Knight himself

Minor problems with difficulty of Riddler challenges and the sheer array of moves means some may lay forgotten and cause frustration and annoyance when their use is required

I just finished Arkham city and I was truly happy with it all around. Story was awesome and the game play was pretty smooth :) I found the bat claw to be very useful for pulling people off the cliff and taking out the sniper towers. power gliding was pretty sweet and not too difficult.

Given that Arkham City was only Rocksteady's second game, I was cautiously optimistic about Arkham City. It was entirely possible for them to have hit a lucky shot the last go round, and this time things wouldn't quite live up to expectations.

A worthy successor to one of generation's most successful titles.

Before 2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum, super hero-based video games were the laughing stock of the gaming industry. They were rarely fun and had little to do in-game, aside from spamming one button for the entire game on top of trivial objectives and frustrating repetitiveness.

Arkham Asylum rocked my expectations of what a game based on an established franchise can be, if handled properly. One moment, videogames based on comic book superheroes are all dumb and doomed to mediocrity at best, the next, we're looking to the next game based on Batman as a probable contender...
