ABSOLUTELY GREAT

I bought this game last month upgrading from AC Brotherhood straight to this... I was so surprised at how many improvements they have done throughout the franchise. I spent three days playing it, but it only felt like four hours!!! So many things to do in such a diverse map! WELL DONE UBISOFT!!!

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Xbox 360

A vast world, dozens of diversions, and characters that you can genuinely warm to. The sea-faring is spectacular, even on Xbox 360, and those familiar problems are much more forgiveable, when you're really enjoying the ride.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (Xbox 360)

Another year has passed, and with it an additional Assassin's Creed game arrives in time for the Christmas season. After diverting the series to the American civil war era with last year's Assassin's Creed III, Ubisoft has this year moved it to the age of high seas and piracy with Assassin's Creed...

Well-tuned ship mechanics that make sailing and sea combat a breeze; No extended tutorial mode stopping you from enjoying the story

All of the side quests and added content can be overwhelming; Story and setting not quite as interesting as the renaissance era

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag

An ambitious start for Assassin's Creed on next-gen. The vibrant Caribbean world and bloody piracy shine brightest, while the only sour notes come from contrived series story beats and repetitive missions--both need rethinking for AC5.

Beautiful; vast open world; Edward Kenway is an excellent rogue; Top-notch side-missions

Main missions suffer from repetition; Assassin's Creed lore has devolved to nonsense; Very few actual assassinations

Game Review: Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag

Meet Edward Kenway, the son of AC3 's Haytham Kenway and the grandparent of Connor. Edward is a pirate that loves to be free, sail the seven seas and loves to live life by the pirate code. Deep down he is just a mere man, that just wants an easily (ish) life and to provide for his loved one.

A fresh uncomplicated & gripping story +Edward Kenway is likable & charismatic +Gameplay has been simplified for the better +Naval combat has also be improved +Huge open world +Tons of replay value +Beautiful Visuals

Running up the wrong wall/tree unintentionally can be very irritating; Still no crouch button

Assassin's Creed IV : Black Flag

With plenty of things to do in the single player game and also its multiplayer; Ubisoft have made this one of the best Assassin's Creed experiences to date. It truly is a remarkable game and puts you in a world of true pirates and a colourful world to roam around in.

Vast playground of fun; Pure pirate simulation; Colourful world to explore

Awkward camera angles

addictive

My teenage son wanted to try this game because he heard it was good. When he played it, it was like he was addicted to it. All he talks about is the game and pirates.

The best for the money

WOW! Assassins Creed IV Black Flag, it's is title, and still, one year later, it's still and amazing game, even with Grand Theft Auto (GTA) comming to the Next Generation Consoles and the absolute gamers tool, the computer, Assassins Creed IVm badly falls back on the competition, and Ubisoft yet to...

"Good Cutsenes; "Many Side-Missions; "Good Story; "Good Gameplay; "High End Graphics; Emersive

"Heavy for older Systems

Ignore the negative reviews

I rarely review things, but after reading the negative reviews, I felt obliged in this case. People are complaining its similar to Assassins Creed 3. Tell me, what did you expect? Now let me be clear, this is no GTA 5. But that's because its not meant to be!
