"(excellent, game that gives you a real sense of an open world)"

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag – Review This game is the follow up to Assassins Creed 3 released on 29, October 2013. After almost an one hour of the introduction of the game you finally get a ship and the freedom do what the game is made for.

Lots to do; Open world; Amazing soundtrack; beautiful setting

Many long tailing missions; Not one of the best narratives

Assassin's Creed IV Review – Call me Kenway

There is no denying that this game is excellent. It will be even better on next generation platforms - AC IV simply outstrips the ability of current consoles. However, it is still a fantastic play and easily tops the list of best sandbox games you can get.

Best game since the second outing; Looks astonishing; Nice new direction; Huge replay value; Tightened mechanics

Annoying naval sections; Some undetected bugs

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Review

The amazing world of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag has kept me gladly occupied for longer than any other game in the series, even though its story isn't the strongest. At no point in my dozens of hours was I ever at a loss for something to do.

Epic scope; Great side quests; Lighter tone; Beautiful moments

Disappointing main story

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Review

I was all but ready to give up on the Assassin's Creed series after last year's disappointing entry. I'd accepted that ACII would never be beat, that with it the formula had come as close as it would to perfection.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag

Stealth kills, air assassinations, a lot of headfirst diving into water or carts of hay. Those are all instantly recognizable facets of Ubisoft's compelling assassin-themed franchise. Addictive combat and a lot of exciting free-running across rooftops, is but a mere taste of what players get.

Never has the life of a pirate been so vividly depicted in a video game; a huge world full of adventure and hidden riches awaits; Kenway is a great character; the narrative keeps you going; incredibly convincing weather effects; mesmerizing naval battles; swordfights and hand-to-hand combat is still...

Occasionally weird camera during combat; behavior Kenway the deadly assassin cannot crouch for some reason

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag

Edward Kenway isn't particularly noble, at least as far as Assassins go. He doesn't have Ezio's thirst for justice, Connor's earnestness, or Altair's selfless devotion to a cause. In fact, for much of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag , he isn't really an Assassin at all; he's just a pirate who puts on...

+ Engrossing storyline that capably straddles historical pirate fiction and sci-fi strangeness; + Rich open world with tons of fun side activities

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Assassin's Creed is a rather polarizing series. With elements of historical context and modern day sci-fi wizardry, the juxtaposition can be a bit much for some. When you combine that with elements of freerunning and perhaps a bit too much intrigue for one person to handle, and you have one rather...

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Review

AC IV is one of the best games of the series so far, the naval combat is the gem in the crown and Edward Kenway stands with Ezio as a great protagonist. The Next Gen version is worth it if you don't already own the game.
