The 5th gen is a nice improvement and the color options are a nice bonus for people to add a little personality. Video is good but audio on movies lacks a bit. Overall, very easy to use and it does what you need the iPod for.

Nice addition of color to the iPod touch - a little nicer than the last generation.
Now that the iPod touch is in its fourth generation, Apple finds itself at interesting crossroads. The company simply doesn't have any competition right now in the high-end portable media player market.
Fast A4 processor; Sharp Retina Display; Superb gameplay gets social with Game Time; 720p video recording; FaceTime calling capability

960x640 display; Dual cameras; FaceTime support; 720p video recording; Longer battery life; Faster A4 processor; Three-axis gyro
Poor quality still pictures; No GPS receiver; No 16GB option
The new iPod touch is a worthy successor to the third gen. model. It is lighter and more responsive than its predecessor. It's highly recommended if you want a simple, intuitive touch based PMP, even if it comes with subpar headphones.
Small & lightweight; Extremely responsive; Razor sharp screen; Intuitive interface; Dual cameras including front facing camera; Great gaming; Excellent battery life; Good WiFi performance thanks to 802.11n; Wifi + mic + Skype app = "poor mans
Glossy screen reflects lots of ambient light; Not the same IPS panel as the new iPhone; Screen & body are a fingerprint magnet; Requires iTunes to load media on to it; Low resolution cameras; Storage is not upgradeable; Not compatible with 3rd gen cases; 802.11n is only 2.4Ghz; not 5Ghz support,
This is the device iPod Touch users have been waiting for. Hailed as "the iPhone without the phone" the new iPod Touch 4th Gen has HD video recording capabilities, Wi-Fi, a superior display, and all the features of an iPhone 4 without a contract. This is a must-have item for any gadget fanatic.
Retina Display, 960-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 pixels per inch, Two cameras! Video recording, HD (720p) up to 30 frames per second with audio; still photos (960 x 720) with back camera.
Mirrored rear fingerprints easily, Easy to cover rear camera lens with your finger, Pricing structure seems strange: 8GB is $229, next step up is 32GB for $299; 64GB is $399
I Have a Ipod touch 5g for a year now! I'm my question why would i buy that first of all I thought that a5 chip would be very fast and not difference than A6! but i'm Wrong! it Very s**tty Performance! Youtube crashed every time because of lack of memory! 512mb ram DDR2!
Cheap today; Good for kids; Fit in pocket easily; Lightweight at 88Gram; Good for Delevoper or Tester
Sound is Bad nor Quiet; A5 in 2015 they should have a6x in it; Lag; Battery life Drain fast iphone got 440mah more capacity; It not Durable and crack easily even 1st Gen ipod touch did better at the Drop test and it not cracked
With the recent refresh of Apple's iPod range, the iPod touch has undoubtedly asserted itself at the top of the tree. With the nano stripping down, there appears to be a hole in the middle of what was once Apple's MP3 player offering.
Display is sensational; the App Store; user interface; versatility; build quality
Price; camera offering a little lacklustre; new design isn't as comfortable as the last version; limited format support
A high-resolution screen and video calling just made the best better, but we'd recommend an iPhone 4 if you can afford it.
High-resolution screen; Video calling; Easy to use; Loads of apps
Rubbish camera; No FM radio or GPS; Reliance on iTunes
All the goodies of an iPhone 5, minus the talkie bit and contract.
