To start off I would like to say that I'm not a hardcore Alien fan, so this review won't be biased towards loving it. I would also like to say that I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this game after the massive disappointment that was Colonial Marines.

This game is dope. First game on the ps4 to make me literally jump out of my seat. I often don't play alone because it is ridiculously scary. At times your forget that you can just stop playing if you want. In my opinion this is a must buy for anyone who likes suspense games.

Apologies for the lateness of this review. Alien: Isolation's been out in the wild for just over 48 hours already, but I only just managed to clamber out from under the table I'd been cowering for the past fortnight and actually finish the game.

Alien: Isolation is a first-person survival horror game with a hefty dose of stealth. Developed by The Creative Assembly, gamers will be happy to know that Alien: Isolation is a far cry from the disappointing, Aliens: Colonial Marines, which was crafted by Gearbox Software.

In many respects, the Ripleys of Alien fame are a lot like the Brodys from Jaws. The heads of the family - Ellen and Martin, respectively - are just trying to get by in life doing less-than-stellar jobs in mostly unexciting places until some arsehole monster comes along to ruin it all.

A masterfully produced horror that overcomes length issues through supreme scares.
