When approaching Alan Wake I wasn't really sure what to expect. I have always been a huge survival horror fan. I didn't know too much about Alan Wake but I decided to give it a shot anyways. Boy was I surprised. This game turned out to be a jewel.

Another great game from Remedy that definitely expands the Alan Wake mythology and even brings a little closure. The question is now, where do they go next? Hopefully, somewhere dark and creepy, just like all the other work they've done in the series.
It has been a long, long time coming, but Alan Wake is finally ready to make its debut on the Xbox 360. The five plus years of development have been filled with delays and direction changes (notably a shift from open world to a more linear adventure), but the result of that lengthy development...
If you were a fan of the main game simply for its gameplay either pack is worth a look, but if you want more of the story they must be experienced together (if at all). They are functionally an unnecessary addition to the story, serving only to bring the player in a tight circle back to where they...
Loved the game...loved the setting, the story...everything about it. Can't wait for Quantum Break or the sequel to this one.
Alan Wake is an odd game, and will probably benefit from being reexamined in a few years. It's not so much a shooter as it is a five-part episode of "Twin Peaks." People who like it call it surreal and dreamlike, and people who don't call it incomprehensible. Both sides are probably on to something.
From the creators of the highly successful and critically acclaimed Max Payne series comes one of the most anticipated games of 2010 - Alan Wake. The development team at Remedy has been working for years on Alan Wake.
Alan Wake is a game of extremes. Just like there's constant playing with light to force away darkness and its evil powers, gamers get a horror adventure of which certain parts have clearly come from a rusty past situated in the dark ages while others are a beacon of light for more creative...
If Alan Wake taught me anything, it's that writing is a dangerous profession, even more when you are in a place where things you scribble down on paper become reality! The Writer , Alan Wake 's final 'special feature' downloadable content, dives head-first into Alan's psyche, delivering a solid...
Extremely engaging; Smart reuse of environments from the original; Great self-referential dialogue
Five years (plus) in the making, Remedy Entertainment's Alan Wake is finally upon us. Having gone through several changes and an unusually long development period, one of the biggest question marks in recent video game history has finally materialized.
The external environments are beautiful
The player sees far too much of them
