I absolutely love my Roomba 980!! I actually don't know I've survived this long without it having three kids and three mini Australia Shepherd's in our house. It does amazing work and I'd buy another one in a heartbeat!

A little big norzing and quickly full
The iRobot Roomba 980 is one of the more powerful bots that we've tested. Regimented automated cleaning is impressive and this robot cleans well on a variety of surfaces - adjusting suction when it needs to - allowing it to deliver an efficient and effective clean.
Powerful cleaning performance; Easy-to-use scheduling and cleaning settings; Voice assistant compatible
App can be unreliable; Gets stuck more than other bots we've tested; Quite loud; Blows a lot of air as it cleans
The original unit had a faulty home base, but was promptly replaced. The unit works well. However, a few spots still need a quick follow up with a normal vacuum after a clean, typically spots where there wasn't enough space for the robots to navigate through i.e.
Not to be confused with the I-Robot book of Isaac Asimov short stories or the I-Robot film staring Will Smith, the iRobot (note the slight difference in the spelling) Roomba is a vacuuming robot. I have been looking at the 980 model of this product which has been cleaning my maisonette.
Excellent app; Surprising suction; Not afraid of cliffs – or more likely, stairs;
Can’t cut into corners; Shaken up by shag pile rugs;
iRobot sells everything from gutter- and pool-cleaning gadgets to commercial-grade military, security and HazMat robots -- a recent FCC waiver even suggests automated lawnmowers are in the works -- but the brand is best known for its fleet of Roomba robot vacuum cleaners.
iRobot gives its $900 Roomba 980 a brain power boost with a lithium ion battery; additional sensors; a camera; and Wi-Fi and app connectivity on Android and iOS devices
It didn't perform as well as the $700 Roomba 880 we reviewed in 2013; We also want to see features like a remaining battery life readout, push alerts and third-party integrations added to the iRobot Home app
No more stress over dirty floors and needing to drag the vacuum out - just tell 'Alexa' to get Roomba to clean and it's done! Emptying the small dustbin and pulling hair out of the wheels (easy) are the only maintenance tasks to do.
iRobot's Roomba vacuums have always been easy to use, but the new Roomba 980 introduces an even easier way to clean your home without getting off the couch: app control. The Roomba 980 connects to your home Wi-Fi network, so you can control it remotely from an app on your smartphone.
Powerful; Good on rugs; Wi-Fi-enabled
Very expensive; Noisy
Since the advent of smart AI-assisted speakers, the concept of smart homes has been widely adopted and even implemented around the world. The idea of leaving most household chores, even the basic ones, to a computer, has captured the imagination of people, unlike anything.
