Apple iPad Air 2 (A1567 / 128 GB / LTE) Tablet Review

The Apple iPad Air 2 is still a really good tablet that is pleasing with its even slimmer construction and high-quality materials . Unfortunately, the slim construction also results in some drawbacks since the tablet is more sensitive to pressure compared to its predecessor .

Great design; High-quality materials; Fast components; Great display; Excellent GPS module; Covers many frequencies; Good camera in daylight; Good viewing angle stability; Decent speakers; Finally 2 GB memory; The iPad Air 2 is not only nice to look at; but also really fast.

Pressure-sensitive case, Configurable toggle was removed, Problems with iOS 8.1, Throttling of the CPU and GPU, Only LTE Cat; 4, No Bluetooth 4.1, NFC without antennas can only be used in combination with Apple Pay, Signal noise of the Bluetooth connection when there is no sound, Power adaptor too...

Love this tablet!

Love this tablet. Love how thin it its, but sometimes because it's too thin and slick, it slips out of my hands. Overall, would definitely recommend!

Thin; user friendly; good batterly life; handy

Slick; too thin

iPad Air 2 Review: Still the Perfect 10 Inch Tablet, With Some Small Quirks (Video)

We give this model a 9.5 out of 10 for design, a 9.8 for hardware and a 9.5 for OS and UI. The final grade is 9.6 out of 10 and this is still the best 10 inch tablet (or close) that money can buy in 2014. However, the iPad Air 1 is also a very solid buy, since the price is lower now.

slim; but solid; very light; less glare than many tablets; good battery; loud speakers; good display; good cameras; ultra fast browser; excellent hardware; fast rendering; good productivity

big bezel; long charging; back vibrates a lot; UI getting old

The iPad Air 2 takes the title (from Apple's original Air) of Best Tablet You Can Buy. The updates aren't enough to force an upgrade from a 2013 Air, but it'll feel like a tablet from another planet if you're still using an original iPad or iPad 2, or an early Android.

Somehow; even thinner than ever; Very snappy performance; thanks to A8X chip upgrade; Fingerprint login; Better cameras

The familiar iPad-family gripes (no MicroSD card slot; reliance on iTunes; Rear camera lacks a flash; Physical mute/orientation-lock switch has been eliminated

Apple iPad Air 2 Review

Razor-thin, fast as hell, finger friendly, and now in gold: Apple's iPad Air 2 is the best tablet you can buy.

Thinner than any other Apple device; Screen brighter than iPad Air; Powerful new processor is a step up; iPads have best app selection of any tablet; Improved rear camera; Touch ID added

16GB model does not have enough storage; Speaker quality worse than Air 1; iPad Air 1 is $100 cheaper; Not water resistant; No MicroSD storage options

Apple iPad Air 2 Review

There's no longer a question as to which tablet is Apple's flagship. While the new iPad mini 3 gets a Touch ID sensor and now comes in gold, the iPad Air 2 ($499 for 16GB, $828 as tested with 128GB and LTE) offers those goodies and a whole lot more.

iPad Air 2 review: A great tablet gets better

If you liked last year's iPad Air, you'll almost certainly like this year's version, unveiled early last month (along with the 5K Retina iMac) by Apple CEO Tim Cook. The iPad Air 2 features Touch ID, a (much) faster system architecture and an aluminum enclosure that is both thinner and lighter than...

Fast; Continuity feature allows seamless integration with other Apple devices; Touch ID feature; built-in encryption

No LED flash support for photos and movies; camera specs lag behind iPhone 6 models; cannot use Apple Pay via NFC

iPad Air 2 Review – Another Incremental Update

The iPad Air 2 is not worth the upgrade if you already have the Air 1. Aside from the enhanced hardware, better camera and Touch ID, there simply isn't anything compelling. The Absence of NFC relegates Apple Pay to being able to make App Store purchases, without having to type in your password.

Anti-reflection screen coating; Faster processing; More RAM; Wireless Connection is faster; Touch ID

Very Minor Upgrade; No Mute button or rotation lock; Apple SIM does not work in Canada or Australia

In-depth review: Apple's iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3

Apple's latest iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 incorporate Touch ID and support for Apple Pay within apps, with the same 10 hour battery life of previous models. Beautiful Retina Display on thin; small device; Touch ID makes it easy to enable Activation Lock; Now supports Apple Pay within apps; Super thin; highly mobile form factor a delight to use and carry; Apple's A8X packs leading CPC and graphics horsepower; Still offers 10-plus hours of battery life on...
