New Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM10 Is Really Smart

Panasonic announces a new smart camera ideal for sharing photos and videos online. This isn’t a combined phone and camera like the existing Lumix DCM-CM1 model, which support phone calls etc. The new Lumix DMC-CM10 model focuses on the camera and fast sharing using a 4G/LTE mobile network. Hence, you can’t make a phone call with this camera, but you’ll be able to send text messages. This is a handy feature for sending a photo without having to upload it to the Internet first. Apple Hermes Watch Now Available Online

Apple just announced that it’s stylish Hermes watch is now available online. New Zealand, unfortunately, lacks a local physical Apple store. The nearest Apple store for Kiwis is Sydney. The good news is that you now can purchase Hermes watch from Apple’s online store or mobile app as of yesterday. The NZ online store still doesn’t offer online purchases for some reason. Microsoft Surface Book Available in NZ Stores on January 28th

The much anticipated Surface Book is Microsoft’s first laptop. Tier-1 retailers Harvey Norman, Noel Leeming and JB-Hifi will start selling the new laptop in stores on January the 28th. The RRP price set by Microsoft’s NZ Store is $2,749 for the Core i5 processor with 8GB RAM. Retailers usually undercut the RRP by a few percent. Hence, the actual selling price in NZ will likely be somewhat lower after a while. PB Technologies currently offers the Surface Book online at $3,967 for the Core i7 model. LG G Pad 2 8.3 Tablet Released

South Korean manufacturer LG releases an upgrade to its G Pad tablet – the LG G Pad 2 8.3 (II). It will initially only be available in South Korea, and then introduced to other markets in 2016. Samsung Galaxy S7 Pricing Leaked by China Mobile

Many of us are waiting for the Galaxy S7 which is due in March 2016. China’s largest phone carrier China Mobile accidentally leaked critical pricing information during a press conference recently. A slide in the background that displayed various phone models and pricing showed Samsung Galaxy S7 priced at 3,000 Yuan and above. This converts to  around NZ$678 at today’s exchange rate. Then add 15% GST and also account for local market conditions to estimate the likely retail price in New Zealand.
