I recently purchase a bottle of Yves Saint Laurent Opium . I have not worn it in years . I have worn it out a few times , to friends parties , for a romantic dinner and to see a band at the pub . I have had so many positive comments from my friends and from people I don't know . Wow !

Mesmerising

I've been wearing this perfume for many years. Am always getting compliments - from women as well as men - as to how nice I smell. Even girls at the checkout will ask what it is. It may be more expensive than others but it lasts a long time in the bottle as well as on the skin.

I wore the old version of Opium today and 2 compliments. Men love it & not shy about gloating over the scent. I only have a small amount of the original formula that I treasure. It is spicy, rich, & sandalwood enriches the formula. Please, please, PLEASE bring it back!!!!

Doesn't Hold, Not Sexy; Flat; Never Draws Compliments, Too Weak

I still love Opium but I hate the fact that this bottle has a spray tube that does not go all the way to the bottom of the bottle, thus wasting a good portion of the perfume. I have other fragrances where the spray arm goes all the way down to the bottom of the bottle and nothing gets wasted.

Funny how something can smell soooo wonderful on someone else and not on you...that would be Opium for me.I have stopped 3 women who are wearing this because it smells so good..finally sprayed some last time at Saks...within one hour a migraine. Too bad too because it is lovely..

A common sniff of mythical Opium , which surrounds my fellow at work Diana in graciously abundant clouds, makes me smile. Who could explain why such a contradictory scent reins in beauty realm on basis of simple love it or hate it rule

My missus adores this scent. Not cheap, I got her a bottle of the perfume rather than the Eau De Toilette, which lingers longer. Opium is a strong perfume, and is truly intoxicating! A great gift at any time!

I recently got a little tester or travel sized bottle of Yves Saint Laurent's Opium Eau de Parfum in a Christmas set. I don't know the price as this was a gift and also came with other items - so would be priced differently to what it usually is.
