Firstly the packaging - eye catching and classy box and bottle. A heady intoxicating fragrance with notes of black coffee and white flowers. A sensual and heady perfume that in my opinion is a ‘dark' fragrance more suited to an evening due to deep, vanilla and musky notes.

I've been wearing this perfume for many years. Am always getting compliments - from women as well as men - as to how nice I smell. Even girls at the checkout will ask what it is. It may be more expensive than others but it lasts a long time in the bottle as well as on the skin.

Only 1 or 2 pumps are enough. It is soo luxurious.. YSL perfume have this unique enigma and depth to their fragrance... Loved it..

I wore the old version of Opium today and 2 compliments. Men love it & not shy about gloating over the scent. I only have a small amount of the original formula that I treasure. It is spicy, rich, & sandalwood enriches the formula. Please, please, PLEASE bring it back!!!!

I've worn Opium since I was modeling and went to the party of the launch on the East River in 78 on a big beautiful oriental wooden ship and we all received a big bottle of pure parfume with gold nuggets inside!

The perfume has a very interesting bottle and it can be day or night.As I mentioned it is not as earthy as I had hoped.Overall, it is a good rating of 8.0 for me.(on as scale of 1-10)

More Sweet Than Earthy

Wore it to year 12 formal. Not exaggerating but I felt so feminine with this fragrance on. People were asking me questions and complimenting me.

After explaining what I was going for, my favorite scent notes, I tried countless choices at Sephora. I like a masculine with sexy/sensual & feminine notes to top it off. I also love Patchouli and Sandlewood. I picked this up as my last try. I WAS BLOWN AWAY! Soooo happy I kept going.

I purchased the sampler as a tester to see would I really like the frangrance. I enjoy the compliments and the scent lingers all day. I will definitely be getting a larger size.
