I bought this about 6 months ago. What I can say positively is the sound quality is good and ease of use. The LCD display is nice. It feels strong as well being aluminium. However the battery life is shocking. It only lasts a few hours and there is no direct 12v cig plug, you have to charge it in the cradle which is not practical in a car. Much better handheld UHF on the market for cheaper and more features. Having such poor battery life renders it basically useless.

only 3 weeks old, battery life is shocking. Does not last more than 6 hours with nobody talking on it. Need to take charging base with you to connect to car charger, not ideal for traffic control. Low battery light comes on for about 1 minute and then dies. Basically useless.

Will not work at all if not connected to charging cradle even after a full charge.
