X-mini MAX II Speakers Review

Do not judge a book by its cover. These mini speakers, even though they look tiny, pack quite a punch. At my first glance, I thought that these speakers would sound dull and boring. However, I've heard so many good things about these X-mini speakers before, so I hooked the MAX II up and immediately...

Review: X-mini II portable speaker for HTC EVO 4G

Since many of you use the HTC EVO 4G as a media player and the built-in speaker can become muffled because of its location on the back, a portable speaker can be a nice add-on for the device.

X-Mini MAX II Speaker Review-Size Will Fool You At Times

The iPhone 4's speakers are loud, no doubt about it. But, they don't offer nearly as much bass or quality as a surround sound stereo. Now, the X-Mini MAX II can't offer you as much base or sound quality as a home theater, but it can come close.

Pros:
  • Stereo speakers pack away neatly with magnetic attachment
Cons:
  • Lacking depth in sound quality
  • Lacks the punchy bass of smaller X-mini models

X-mini II capsule speaker

I was sceptical of the X-mini II at first. I didn't expect the tiny speaker to sound any better than my MacBook Pro speakers, and probably not all that much better than those in my iPad or iPhone.
Pros:
  • Small
  • portable
  • good sound for the size
  • low price
Cons:
  • Sound distorts at high volumes
