Square Enix has released World of Final Fantasy for PS4. As someone who grew up on the Final Fantasy games, I have always had a small place in my heart for the series. The first title that really drew me in was Final Fantasy VII which released in 1997.

A solid game that definitely has an audience. Might lack replay value, could be too short or there are some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.

World Of Final Fantasy combines classic RPG gameplay mechanics with fresh and imaginative toy-like visuals, where players will collect, raise and take into battle the monsters of Final Fantasy lore, drawing on a rich history of iconic creatures, from the charming to the ferocious.

Saturated with the blood of dozens of hapless souls, the floors squish beneath my feet. But there's plenty more work to be done. Chainsaw-wielding, rocket-powered cyborg mega-men attack from all directions as I struggle to dip and dodge between their mechanical blades.

This game is a lot of fun.The graphics are so cute. It has lots of references to previous Final Fantasy games. I enjoyed running into characters from previous game made into lilikins. The load times are phenomenal. Only real con for me has been that the you can't just save anywhere.

In a manner that has come to define Square's post-Sakaguchi output, the game relies on fan-service in lieu of strong plotting. For the audience, perhaps this will be enough. But despite the pleasing intricacies of its battle system, World of Final Fantasy is unable to transcend the realm of tribute.

is a humorous adventure that is just too cute for words, but its combat and exploration aren't diverse enough to support a campaign nearly as long as this one. However, I did enjoy it for a long time - more than 30 hours - before it wore out its welcome.
