Beware when buying modern fridges. They are designed to protrude from the space by the depth of the doors. This is ugly and unnecessary. Our old fridge was hinged cleverly so that when the door is open at right angles it was no wider than the fridge cabinet itself. But this one doesn't.

Mostly fridge has performed well but the ice maker required replacement while still under warranty. Hopefully everything else should now be ok

We bought this after our Samsung fridge died after only 8 years. After doing some research online, and also shopping around and asking staff, we settled on this fridge. There are not many side by side fridges that have an ice/water dispenser on the door. The fridge works fine. Two awkward issues - the shelves on the fridge door have the small shelves up the top, but they are not that convenient. They should just have a full length shelf like the lower shelves. The water dispenser does not chill the water, but we've gotten used to just putting ice in first. The ice maker is much better than our previous Samsung. So far, so good.

We have only taken delivery of our new 610 Side by Side 2 days ago, so we are still coming to grips with all its fabulous features! As a fully plumbed-in fridge, installation was a breeze as we had the water tap installed previous to the delivery. Just a word of caution, this fridge is big....785mm in depth, so to get it into place in the pantry, we had to remove the architraves from one door and it just made it through! So the message is...check the measurement of the doorways before delivery.

1st fridge delivered had dents on the doors when unpacked from carton. 2nd fridge delivered looked fantastic but leaked water from underneath when we connected it to the tap ! 3rd fridge was the same as the 1st. 4th fridge was all good until we noticed the fan was noisy so a replacement fan is going to be fitted !!

The fridge is fine. Quiet, seemingly efficient, does the job nicely. The ice maker works well and is a great feature. Our reservation is simply that the fridge appears to be designed to sit proud of the cavity into which it (in our case) comfortably fits. The width of the fridge when the doors are open is very much greater than when the doors are closed. Our previous very old fridge hinged in such a way that it was no wider with the doors open to 90 degrees. That meant we could tuck it deeper into the recess and still have good access to the contents of the fridge. But this one sticks out into the kitchen by at least the thickness of the doors - which are pretty thick. This is actually a big disappointment for us because it seriously encroaches onto scarce kitchen space and it spoils the line of the kitchen cupboards.
