Good Deal

Had wife put it in my Synaptics server for me. (Yep that easy). Fired it up and Synaptics built the back up and then expanded the software with out any work by me. About as easy it gets.

Perfect

Have it for 2 years now bought from new egg, its bang for the buck, yes its silent because it has one platter only, thats why read/write head noise is very silent, also its fast, windows 8 boot up to dektop time - 8-12ms similar to an cheaper ssd's.Really worth buying.

Misleading name Not a Western Digital, Rather a generic 1tb hdd

WD might be misleading. This to my knowledge is not a western digital product. It comes with a generic white sticker that reads (white label sata 1tb) Works fine so far.

Hard Drive

Staples Tech picked for me as I had no clue. Several different Techs worked on my computer over several days to bring it back to life. Thank you, electronic doctors! My computer feels just fine and works perfectly!

Great bang for the Buck.

Needed to pad my storage on my gaming rig. Needed to do a quick Google to find out about the Windows 10 disk management. 5 minutes later and I had my drive up and running.

Easy installation (with some Google help; Great price; especially when on sale

"Works just how it should"

This HD works exactly how it should and for its price you cant really beat it! only thing id say is to prepare yourself for when SSD start becoming more affordable and popular (they are already really popular).

Purchased to redeem my old XBOX using an ATA-SATA adapter. Worked perfectly for the purpose so can not give anything other than 10/10. (All disks are incompatible with the old XBOX because they do not support either locking or xfat)

Best Drive for the money.

As always Western Digital hard drives do not disappoint, the quality is always top notch and with the Acronis copy software it makes it a simple processes to move your entire system to the new drive.

WD 1TB Blue Edition 3.5" SATA3 Internal HDD 7200RPM 64M CACHE, Solid performance and reliability for everyday computing, 2 Year Warranty

1TB of space is still enough for the average user, and these solid well performing drives work. Work, that's all it needs to do. Happy, bought heaps of these for builds, never an issue.

Compared to my old 1TB WD from 2011 this is pure gold. From 80MB Read/Write to over 180MB Read/Write this has been a massive improvement in performance. Not just for load times, but for texture load times.Being a big gamer this has improved performance a fair bit.Although it will not help with FPS,...
