Verdict: "I could not start my computer," my supervisor said with a tone of worry in his voice. "Is there any way to retrieve my data" "Did you back up your data" I asked him. "No," he replied. Does that seem like a scenario you can relate to

WD 10TB RED NAS HDD , 3.5" SATA3 256MB Cache, Designed and tested for RAID environments 1-8 Bay NAS, 3 Years warranty

Verdict: If you're building or upgrading a NAS (Network Attached Storage) box right now this is the drive for you. Delivers outstanding performance, that used to only be possible with 7200RPM Drives. I've upgraded from 3TB RED NAS drives, and they lasted years without a hiccup or any bad sectors.

Western Digital Red NAS WD20EFAX 2TB

Verdict: Purchased an 8 TB WD Red to replace a 3 TB WD Green in my server. Very happy with the speed, size, and noise levels of the drive. The peace of mind alone is worth the premium over a similarly sized Seagate drive. WD has never let me down and I definitely trust them with HDD purchases.

Good if they work

Verdict: Bought 4, 1 was dead on arrival. Once it was replaced, all installed and working, they seem great, but 25% failure isn't good.

Huge capacity, fast and quieter than a whisper.

Verdict: So far so good! I have 8 of these 10TB WD RED drives installed in a QNAP 873 NAS and have had no issues so far. All drives have initialized and formatted without problems and are completely error free according to the SMART Data.
