Reliable and Quality
The passport is a great place to store files separate from your PC. I reccomend having 2 of these and keeping them in sync.

Replacement
Picked one up today to replace a 640GB USB2.0 drive for more portable space... Ryan - 1.82GB is correct given the file system formatting on the drive, also the rounding down of 1024GB is not 1.024TB.

Highly recommended but be aware that it's not formatted for Mac and cant be used for Xbox save games
This hard drive is quite big for what it is, just a small laptop hard drive in a case but it is the latest hard drive, and there is not a bigger capacity portable USB powered hard drive out there, so it's in a market size of one really.

Excellent portable drive
I now own three of these drives for portable backup storage. One is my Time Machine backup drive, one is for backing up files from my file server. These work flawlessly over USB2.0, I plan on hooking them up to USB3 as soon as I can to take advantage of the speed.

I got 2 of these drives on sale with free shipping for $114.99 They are the best price for 2TB mobile drives you cannot go wrong with these drives. Good warranty on them. The drives do about 80MB's Right and Read speed is much faster around 120MB's.
Pros:
- Super fast
- large capacity
- Cheap price
Cons:
- Short USB wire

Excellent product, but with a small issue
I recently had a 1TB Caviar Black HD start to fail in my PC (after 6 years of heavy 24/7/365 use). I was able to clone it to a new drive, but the close call finally got me to do something about backup. I got the 2TB Passport.

AVOID the 2TB Version
Every now and then, I get the infamous BSOD (Blue Screen of Death). Something about driver incompatibility. What should be a simple "plug-and-play," device, somehow Western Digital found a way to muck it up. This is supposed to be a simple USB device, for heaven's sake!!!
Pros:
- 2tb is a lot of space
Cons:
- bsods every now and then

Good value
I was disappointed that I had to format for the Apple Macbook and go online to find how do this as you couldn't access the instructions on the drive. This should be made clearer at the beginning.
Pros:
- Features As Expected
- Quick Deivery
Cons:
- Bulky
- Had To Format For Macbook
- Instructions Not Easy

- Design
- Performance
Cons:
