Was quite surprised at the small size of the drive. Very neat. Comes with some built in software, which I didn't need. If requires activation if you need it, so it was no problem. Been in use for a few months works perfectly as a backup to my desk top. The transfer speed on the USB 3 is not bad.

This 4 TB external hard-drive works extremely well. The back up software is excellent and simple to set up and quietly backs up my data. The unit is compact and doesn't generate excessive heat. I have several of these units now. I highly recommend this product.

The WD Portable Hardrive Causes a "Kernel Panic" on my MAC and closes down my computer every time I access it and leave it connected for an hour. I cannot leave it connected and now just use it as a stand alone backup.
