Excellent Backup
The item arrived within 2 days of ordering, and I could track its progress to make sure I was around to receive it. I firstly connected the drive to a USB extension lead so that I could keep it in front of the monitor.

cheaply made. came apart
Really fragile. Had it a year and the seam split and it no longer is able to copy stuff. I never dropped it or treated it roughly at all . Seemed like a good deal but it's cheaply made. Be careful if you have important stuff on it

WD My Passport Essential SE 1TB
Pocket hard drives are by their nature not the most design heavy of creatures. They need to be small - to fit the pocket designation - and they need to contain hard drives. We've seen a few interesting designs built around tiny lights in drives, or interesting case colours.
Pros:
- Simple backup software included
- Who couldn't use 1TB of extra storage space?
Cons:
- Design is bland
- Pricey compared to a couple of 500GB drives

Western Digital My Passport
Western Digital's My Passport is a portable hard drive that goes big on storage and slashes features back to the bare essentials. It packs oodles of capacity into it's compact, plasticky body, though, and its 2TB capacity providing 1.8TB of formatted space.

Save From Shocks
i think this is a complete hard disk which provides all of the functions which i want from a hard disk. this do have usb 3.0 compatibility and with 1 TB of space. this hard disk is only 2.5 inch big which is one of the most amazing feature of it.

Great portable storage. USB power is nice though it needs a powerful USB and sometimes the Y USB cable for dual USB power. I've dropped mine on wood before and hasn't broken. Easy to replace internal drive if it fails.
