WD My Passport Essential SE Review
The WD My Passport has always been very stylish – yet surprisingly small – devices and the all new refreshed version of the Essential model is no exception. While it does come in many color options, mine was the silver and white version. To be blunt, this color scheme looks like a million bucks.

Great portable 1TB external drive. Doesn't need external power, and is smaller than my older WD 320GB drive. I have experienced 85MB/s sustained while copying large files. There are much cheaper 1TB external drives out there, but they are bigger and need to be powered.

Pros:
- Huge capacity for a portable-storage drive
- Well-built
- Can average over 100MB/s for both read and write operations
- Solid supporting software
Cons:
- Not the thinnest or lightest

At that price, the WD My Passport for Mac 1TB USB3 becomes a product that we highly recommend. It's small in size and pretty zippy in speed. What's not to like!
